Ms. Cruz joined Hurwitz Holt, APLC in 2016. She works primarily assisting clients who have been victims of crimes with their applications for U nonimmigrant status. She also has experience assisting clients with applications for asylum, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
While in law school, Ms. Cruz volunteered for California Western’s Community Law Project consulting with indigent clients on a variety of legal issues and volunteered at Casa Cornelia working with unaccompanied minors seeking asylum and special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS). She also gained experience assisting clients with employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas while working at a business immigration law firm.
In her free time, Ms. Cruz enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new foods, hiking, boxing, and travelling.
