Ms. Pope joined Hurwitz Holt, APLC in 2017 as an intern in law school. She returned as a post-bar law clerk and now as an attorney. Her work at the firm includes applications for cancellation of removal, asylum, consular processing, naturalization, and U nonimmigrant status.
Before law school, Ms. Pope discovered her passion for immigration and other cultures working in a small fishing village in Baja California, Mexico where she worked in community development and helped implement new methods for a sustainable water purification system. After returning to the United States, her passion continued to grow when she worked in a business immigration law firm where she gained experience with employment-based visas and other nonimmigrant visas. While in law school worked with victims of domestic violence and helped them obtain U nonimmigrant visa status. She also volunteered at the International Rescue Committee where she primarily worked on DACA renewals and applications for Temporary Protected Status.
In her free time, Ms. Pope enjoys backpacking, playing soccer, and trying to find the best taco shop in San Diego.
